Door locks

Being proven in a pilot hotel

Key cards issued from the same screen as the booking

Issue a key card when you check a guest in, change it when they change room, and cancel a lost one. The card system is part of the hotel's records.

Cards from the booking

Check a guest in and issue their card from the same screen. Change a room and the card is reissued.

Lost keys

Mark a card as lost and replace it, with the history kept.

How it connects

A small program, the lock bridge, runs at the hotel next to the card encoder. Xenia sends it the instruction and it talks to the lock system. Xenia in the cloud never talks to a lock directly, so a problem on the internet cannot open a door.

  • Buildings, floors and areas set the address on each card
  • Read and erase a card

Which locks

The first supported system is the Tengo card encoder, being proven on real doors in a pilot hotel. Tell us which lock system you use and we will say plainly whether it is supported.

Issue.Replace.Record.

A card is issued from the booking, replaced when a guest changes room or loses it, and every change is kept in the hotel's records.

A key card held to a door lock in a hotel corridor

The key card is issued from the booking, so the door opens for the right guest.

Questions

Good to know

Is my lock system supported?

Ask us. Tengo is the first, and it is being proven on a real door. We would rather say no than promise.

What does issuing a card need?

A connection to Xenia, and the lock bridge running at the hotel next to the card encoder.
