Bar guide, part 3: the menu, stock and closing the bar
Take a drink off when it runs out, see what is in stock, ask the store for more, and close the bar properly at the end of your shift.

This is part 3 of 3 of the Xenia bar guide: 1. Signing in and opening a tab · 2. Tickets, happy hour and getting paid · 3. The menu, stock and closing the bar.
When a drink runs out
Open Outlets and menu and choose The Lagoon Bar. Beside each drink is an 86 button. "86" means "we are out of it". Choose it, add a reason such as "Sold out" if you like, and choose Take it off.
The drink stays on the menu but cannot be ordered until someone brings it back, so nobody sells a drink the bar does not have. Tell your manager when it is back in stock.
What is in stock
Open Stock items for everything the hotel keeps in stock, with its category, the unit it is counted in (a bottle), the level at which it should be reordered and what it costs.
Open Store to see how much is in each store. Choose Bar store at the top, and use Items to reorder under Show to see what is running low.
Ask the store for more
Open Store and choose Request stock.
Under Needed at choose the bar store, and under Asked of the store that supplies it.
Add a Why if it helps, for example "Friday night, wedding party".
Search for each item, set the amount, and choose Add another item for more than one.
Choose Send request.
The request is recorded with your name, and the store keeper sees it. Stock moves between stores only with a document and a name against it.
Wastage and counts
When a bottle breaks or a drink is spilled, it should be logged with a reason so it comes off the stock and stays on the record. The Wastage tab on the Store page shows what has been logged. Logging it and counting the bar's stock are done by the store keeper or a manager, so tell them straight away rather than letting it go unrecorded.
Closing the bar checklist
Every tab is paid, or charged to a room, or has a manager's note explaining why not.
No ticket is left sitting in New or Ready on the bar board.
Drinks that ran out are marked 86.
You have asked the store for anything the next shift will need.
You have told the manager about any breakage.
You have signed out of Xenia, especially on a shared device.
